Anchored in Chapel Hill, NC, Titanium Rex is a power trio comprised of three long time Chapel Hill residents:
Jack Wenberg (formerly of Snatches of Pink, the Heydays, and the Larks) Stu Cole ( guitarist and bassist w/ the Squirrel Nut Zippers) and Norm Underwood ( U.V. Prom).
"Many bands in Chapel Hill are still doing alt-country / americana / roots tunes and we like some of that. There are, of course, your traditional mountain / bluegrass bands, We decided to harken back to the spirit of early Replacements with a hard-edged garage sound, just for the fuck of it, " says Wenberg.
