Bio

'dubwise, rasping social-awareness reggae-style rawness from brighton-based musoid troop. expect the kind of deep, buoyant basslines that require their own fully-staffed system of internal government...'

welcome to dubrock……
In easter 2004 a group of musicians and producers came together to record a 3-day live dub session for future sampling. The group ended the session with a small performance and agreed the result was something raw and exciting. These were the beginnings of what has now become titan SYSTEM.

Since then the founding members have set-up base in Brighton (UK), self produced two EP’s and a live DVD, reached the final of XFM Rock-Idols and co-established the creative enterprise comm:UNITY, alongside other Brighton based musicians and promoters.

Described as ‘Marley jamming with System of a Down’, the band have created a unique blend of music, capturing the mood towards a more global identity. Equally inspired by western rock influences as they are eastern scale motifs, their dub-centered sound has capitalized on the ever-growing recognition for reggae music around the world.

Over the past two years the band have performed at numerous events up and down the country, including festivals and main support slots for acts such as ‘the blockheads’, ‘the aggrolites’ and ‘pama international. They have also attracted interest from BBC Radio One DJs Rob Da Bank and Huw Stephens, gaining airplay in summer 2006 and making ‘featured artist’ on the onemusic unsigned podcast.

They have a strong international myspace network and more recently been launched on iTunes stores in Europe, Japan and the US.

With a new EP in the pipeline, titan SYSTEM intend to continue producing and supporting innovative music and positive events. They are always seeking to work alongside like-minded organisations to further their audience and message.

Steffi Lewis of musatronic.com: ‘I really can see these guys at major festivals because they're so different. A field full of fans on a starlit summer evening……they’d make the whole field rock out and everyone would go to their tents humming the chorus - welcome to dubrock… welcome to dubrock…’
