Following the success of the single and album "Come Along" in 2001, Titiyo stood before their fifth album with the sort of questions which often arrive after the career peaks. How do I go on from here?

After an attempt to make a new album around 2004, which instead ended with a Greatest hits album, creativity had run out.

But in the winter of 2006, it was time for a change.

Titiyo bought a cheap Casio keyboard, an Omnicord and an eight-channel porta studio. With these simple means she sat, often at night, in her apartment in Stockholm, writing songs. The song "X" on the new album "Hidden" is one of the consequences.

An early influence for “Hidden” was Thom Yorke’s (Radiohead) album "The Eraser". But as the record progressed, German krautrock, as in Kraftwerk or Can, also became influences. Add Titiyo unmistakably soul-filled voice and the concept of "krautsoul" could possibly work for anyone who hunts genre labels.

"Hidden" was recorded in Stockholm, with various partners during 2007 and 2008. Initially she worked with musician David "New David" Nystrom. Later the trio Goran Kajfes / David Österberg / Andreas "ASS" Soderstrom bit of an equivalent of what the trio Jocke Berg / Peter Svensson / Tore Johansson was at the inception of the album "Come Along".

A key track on the album is first single "Stumble to Fall", a collaboration between Titiyo and Christian Olsson from the group Fläskkvartetten. Another is the evocative, meditative "Drunken Gnome", almost eight minutes long. Initial "Awakening" was written together with Andreas Kleerup, who Titiyo toured with in 2008. "Longing For Lullabies" was born from a previous collaboration between Andreas and Titiyo. The song was, in its original version, nominated “Song of the year” by Swedish radio.

Later, one of the album's highlights "If Only Your Bed Could Cry"(duet with Moto Boy), become a single.

"Hidden" is release on the new company, Sheriff Records - started by the artist collegue Pernilla Andersson - with distribution and promotion by Warner Music Sweden.
