Timothy Lamar Love, Jr. a.k.a. Royal T., started out writing and rapping at the tender age of six. Although his rhymes didnt make much sense at the time, he persisted and his writing and vocal delivery evolved into a style of music influenced by old school Hip-Hop, R&B, Rock and Alternative, House, Soul and Blues.
The diverse sixteen year old wrote, arranged, and produced his first album, My Turn, an eclectic fusion of all the genres of music that inspired him. He also displays his singing ability on a few of his tracks, a talent inherited from his mother, Deneka Lashea a.k.a. Lottalox, a power house R&B and Funk singer.
Royal Ts style of rapping and brand of music excels because it skillfully combines the commercial appeal of todays hottest music along with the consciousness that is a throw back to lyricist such as Slick Rick, the Geto Boys, the Fresh Prince and Run DMC.
As a story-teller first, Royal T addresses a variety of subjects that his generation faces while simultaneously providing music that teenagers and adults can dance to without the offensive lyrics.
Royal Ts has a bright future ahead of him. He plans to continue to develop and evolve as an artist, writer and producer, always keeping his style consistent yet original.
