Bio
The T.J. Lewis Blues Revue grew from a group of veteran blues and rock musicians who met at a local blues jam. The band was originally formed to provide a core group to support a local monthly jam. Their common respect for the blues genre and passion for performing this music were the catalysts to tranform these individual artists into one of the most well-respected working blues club bands in central Ohio. The key to the band's success is based on a combination of infectious "groove" and original interpretations of classic blues. The musicians have drawn inspiration from such blues greats as Freddy King, Jimmy Rogers, Bobby Blue Bland, and J.B. Lenoir, as well as modern bluesmen Jimmy Vaughn, and The North Mississippi All Stars. Our ability to play the various styles of blues from early Chicago to modern swing and our musical virtuosity sets us apart from other bands. While the band is sensitive to maintaining the historic integrity of the music, we pride ourselves in not being a blues "cover" band.
