To say that Tommy Joe Perry II is driven would be an understatement.
Before the age of 23, TJ has made a name for himself as a professional model, singer and even establishing a foundation for people affected by gynecomastia.
The oldest of three sons and growing up in Dallas, Texas, TJ has a rich heritage of music in his blood. His great uncle fronted the infamous Los Angeles gospel group, The Zion Travelers and his cousin Ernest Lee serves as one of the founding members of gospel group The Relatives. He has shared the stage with the likes of Tye Tribbett and Kirk Franklin, and accredits singing with his Grandfather as being the foundation to his love of music
The Beginning marks TJs debut release. The 5 tracks, all penned by Perry, weave between a wide range of musical genres meshing Soul, Pop, and R&B.
