Delta Blues lovers will love it. TJ must love this music 'cuz he sure can feel it! Mississippi John Hurt's granddaughter said ,"I appreciate him for doing what he loves, he is making his own Godly contribution to the world." Inspired by the great Country Blues artists.

Traditional blues/ragtime/gospel. I play the oldest of the blues, ragtime, and gospel around--stuff that was played in the 1920s and 1930s. For the past year I've spent more time than ever just listening to music which has helped in channeling some early country (Merle Travis, Hank Williams, etc.), blues/jazz (Wynonie Harris, Louis Jordan, etc.), and early rock (Bill Haley, Fats Domino, etc.) into my music. However, the roots of the music is what hits the heaviest. In April 2008, I was honored to play at the Aladdin Theater with Willie "Big Eyes" Smith, Pinetop Perkins, and Bob Stroger. I've been the recipient of 5 scholarships to attend the Port Townsend Country Blues Workshops and was honored to have been asked to speak as a scholarship recipient at Centrum's Annual Gala scholarship fundraising event in 2009. Invited to Clarksdale, Mississippi in 2007 to play at Pinetop Perkins' homecoming.
