Tim Lockemy has earned a reputation for being a strong lead singer/guitar player because of his work with two prominent local bands since 1992 to 2002: Ten Penny Thread and Product. It was after his time with Product had expired in January of 2003 he had entertaining thoughts of a solo career entitled TM. TM, pronounced “tee-em”, is just ‘TIM’ without the ‘I’. In his thoughts of creating a solo artist profile he would need a name that represents himself as well as the mystique of a band name together in one package, TM was the conclusion. With his work in the local scene TM has build a strong fan base that seems to follow any project he is in, the same goes for his solo work. The long await of his first EP entitled ‘Standing Alone’ is the first of five EP’s that is set to link to be a concept EP series. TM’s music is a wide array of musical styles that encompass rock, acoustical, alternative, and synth. Artists that have influenced him the most have been SEAL, Sevendust, Depeche Mode, and Silverchair. Some have said that his voice and singing ability have a mystifying quality the way his melodies captivate the soul and his lyrics evoke the heart. Even in his childhood with both of his parents being ministers in church his upbringing has instilled a sense of moral consciousness and musical integrity that comes forth in his lyrics and his musical delivery. Some of his musical accomplishments have been winning a spot in the “All County Choir” for the Baltimore County high school system in which he and one hundred other elite choir members sang a set of songs at the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall in Baltimore City.
