TNED

Biography

“TNED” was born Tommy G. Ned, Jr. on March 9th, 1987 in Fort Worth, Texas to Sheryl E. Ned and Tommy G. Ned, Sr. He is the youngest and only son among their three children. He was raised in the Forest Hill community of Fort Worth, Texas and the Oak Cliff community of Dallas, Texas as a child. His interest in music was heavily influenced by his father as Tommy Sr. was a former quartet singer; he taught his son to listen to the heart behind every song played, instrument used and lyric written. In light of this, his father quickly recognized that his son possessed a natural ability in music, however, he could have never imagined what would transpire in TNED’s life as this special gift continued to grow.

During his teenage years, TNED became more and more familiar with the way of the streets where he lived, so much so that his father and mother decided he needed to be set apart for something greater...and a local student ministry in the neighborhood would prove to be exactly what they had in mind. Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship Church, also known as OCBF, led by Pastor Tony Evans became the stomping grounds of this talented young man. He was challenged and faced with difficult times in becoming involved at OCBF due to having so much unwanted knowledge of the streets consuming his mind. He slowly learned how to “fuse it and use it” as his newfound love and growth in Jesus Christ began to reform his knowledge of the streets - a recipe that created the rapper, composer, singer, and songwriter who seeks to inspire through GeneusLife known as TNED we see today.

TNED is currently the High School Youth Pastor at One Community Church in Plano, Texas and has served in that capacity since July 2016. He and his wife, Sherreese, currently live in Lewisville, Texas.
