Still working on that hot first release.

Toast cooks up a rock solid menu of danceable covers and tasty originals that will keep you rockin’. This dynamic trio is representative of the pure homegrown talent that Edmontonians have come to take for granted.
The band has been playing venues since 2005 and its current members, Nigel Dagenais, Chris Lafrance and Chris Mooney, have been impressing audiences since August 2006. Individual members bring well-rounded musical backgrounds to this cohesive mix.
Toast has performed at a series of well-known venues in and around Edmonton, such as: Metro Billiard Club; Crown & Anchor Bar & Grill; Starlite Lounge; Winston Churchill Square; Backroom Vodka Bar; Hooliganz Pub; Ray’s Pub; The Haven Social Club; Brooklyn's Lounge and Sneaky Pete's Bar & Grill. Highlights from the summer of 2008 include an outdoor concert at the Edmonton Works Festival and an opening spot for ex-Guns’N’Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke at the Metro Billiard Club.
Toast recorded an off-the-floor demo that includes I’m Coming Home, Lost Iguana and Face Yourself. You can hear them at:
In addition, they recorded their NHL Song and competed in the CBC Hockey Night in Canada Anthem Challenge. Toast drew more than 10,000 hits on the CBC website and received positive acclaim from Edmonton Journal entertainment writer Sandra Sperounes, who called the song, “a meaty track.” The song that caught the attention of local sports radio gurus, The Team 1260, captures the Canadian dream with pointed acuity is sure to become a classic standard of hockey fans. Toast is currently working with Terry Paholek at the Physics Lab to produce and engineer a recording slated for fall of 2009 that will include a stellar collection of originals that have become standard fare at their gigs.
Stay tuned. Toast is no ordinary rock band. This group is buttered on both sides.
