TOBY WAYNE AND DISTANT THUNDER are a new band on the country scene and have already established themselves in their hometown area as a unique crowd pleaser, with their catchy mix of covers and originals. They have played gigs from KANSAS to TEXAS,logging over 180 shows per year and playing venues such as the MCGRAWS IN HUTCHINSON KANSAS, having a regular headlining slot at OUTSKIRTS, WICHITA FALLS TEXAS, while also filling up the local clubs around the RED RIVER border, even causing some clubs to run out of beer by the end!
The Band formed May 2006, and in that short time together they have gained a wide fan base", consisting of most people who have seen them play live,building a solid fan base the
old-fashioned way: one fan at a time. Their dedicated
fans have followed them from gig to gig, from dive
bars to concert halls, as their music seems to appeal to most people; regardless of age.
They always strive to put on the best live show that they can and have already been compared to bands ranging from STONEY LARUE to MIKE McCLURE , their upbeat shows have become well known in their local area with original songs and unique covers that will always get the crowd dancing.
TOBY WAYNE AND DISTANT THUNDER are the latest Upcoming musical talent producing their own edge of country/red dirt-Rock which is so diverse even those genres barely stick to an incredible, ever changing outcome.
