Chains

Written By: Todd Lombardo

CHAINS

Chains are hangin’ over my door
You hit them comin’ and goin’
You never noticed them before
But now they’re definitely showin’

Tears are rolling down your face
You said you thought that this was love
You know I had to say
I never really thought it was

What do I do this for?
What do I do it for?
I let you in baby, I let you in
What do I do this for?
Chains are hangin’ over my door
I’ll let you in babe, I’ll still let you in
I’ll let you in baby, I’ll still let you in

I know it’s hard to smile
When you put your love on trial
But no jury can set you free
When your heart is in denial

What do I do this for?
What do I do it for?
I let you in baby, I let you in
What do I do this for?
Chains are hangin’ over my door
I’ll let you in babe, I’ll still let you in
I’ll let you in baby, I’ll still let you in

But now the rain comes down
And I am all alone
And all there’s left to say to you

Song in the Walls

Written By: Todd Lombardo

SONG IN THE WALLS

I heard this song in the walls
Why should I not sing along
Can’t quite make out the melody
Suppose I’ll have to make it be

Last night I crawled into my bed
I pulled the covers over my head
I dreamt of waves all around
Knocking doors my friend’s in town

Frozen rooms beneath the waves
From this prison cell will I be saved

Into my arms the music falls
These city streets can make you feel so small
And I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want you at all
And I heard this song in the walls

I gather from within my thoughts
I shouldn’t believe everything I thought
But I dreamt of dreams 100 feet tall
And I heard this song in the walls

Ocean eyes follow me
Through the waves I lie beneath

Into my arms the music falls
These city streets can make you feel so small
And I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want you at call
And I heard this song in the walls

Into my heart the music falls
These city streets can make you feel so small
And I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want you at all
And I heard this song in the...
And I heard this song in the...
I heard this song in the walls

What Will Come of It

Written By: Todd Lombardo

WHAT WILL COME OF IT

Life has its twists has its turns
I don’t know I don’t know what will come of it
Standing in this life I have learned
I don’t know I don’t know what will come of it

I find myself somewhere new
A hundred million different things to do
I don’t know I don’t know what will come of it
I need to get out of this bed
Can’t spend the day inside my head
I don’t know I don’t know what will come of it

Listening to the thoughts of a life I left behind
I don’t know what this is but I know, I know it’s mine
I know, I know it’s mine...still..

I don’t know I don’t know what will come of it
I don’t know I don’t know what will come of it
I don’t know I don’t know what will come of it
I don’t know I don’t know what will come of it

Your Life/ My Life

Written By: Todd Lombardo

Oh my dear it's so clear
That you and I should not be lying here
I realize that our lives are much too different
For us to face another year

So down down we go
So down we go with nothing left
Nothing left to save us here

Chorus:

So you can live your life
And I will live my life
So you can live your life

Roxie Rolls

Written By: Todd Lombardo

ROXIE ROLLS

Pretty eyes
Through her hair they show
Little freckle sittin' on the tip of her nose

It’s time to move on into the mountains
Far away from these rolling hills of Tennessee
Far away from me

CHORUS: Roxie Rolls
Far away she goes
Knowing what she knows she’s a traveling soul
Roxie Rolls

She spent the summer here
Hangin with her friends and drinkin’ beer
School calls for the fall but
Tonight she'll dance the night away
I’ll watch her dance the night away

CHORUS

You know that feeling that you get
When you feel like saying the hell with the rest and
Everything else is just second best and
Your heart wants to jump right out of your chest

She moved into an old house
That the owners had cut up and rented out
The floors creak and the windows leak
But it's hers and she loves it all the same

CHORUS
Roxie Rolls (goodbye Roxie)
Roxie Rolls (goodbye Roxie)
Roxie Rolls

The Winding Road

Written By: Todd Lombardo

THE WINDING ROAD

Ooh ooh the winding road will take me there
Ooh ooh the winding road will take me
Ooh ooh the old wise man he told me so
The old wise man inside of me

I ask myself how can I fear what I do not know
But there’s something there that drives a chill right through my bones
Where will I find all those answers that I seek
From the ones I love inside of me

Ooh ooh my mother’s heart
Ooh ooh my sister’s smile
Ooh ooh my father’s words
They will help to take me where I’m going
They will help to take me where I’m going

So now it’s time I’m goin’ set off runnin’ and I won’t look back
Try my best to leave behind what’s holdin’ me back
What is the path that will take me to the place I’m goin’
Only the winding road

Ooh ooh my mother’s heart
Ooh ooh my sister’s smile
Ooh ooh my father’s words
They will help to take me where I’m goin’
They will help to take me where I’m goin’

They will help to take me where I’m goin’
They will help to take me where I’m goin’

Down that winding road
Down that long long winding road
Down that winding road
Down that long long winding road...

Face of Love

Written By: Todd Lombardo

Face of Love

I want a telesccope
So I can see things far away
Distant constellations
You and I through time and space
I want to see all the craters on the moon
A light at the center of me and you

I want a photograph
I want a picture for my wall
I want to make you laugh
I want to hear your footsteps down the hall
I want the truth you know
I want to hear I told you so

From the stars above
From the Face of Love

You'll be my parachute
Security when I fall
Will you let me love you
Even when I'm wrong?
'Cause I want to take your hand
I want to be your gentleman

For the sake of trust
For your Face of Love

Matching clocks not seldom seen
'Cause diamonds are a miner's dream

I want to kiss your face
Twenty years from now
I want the sacred saving grace
Of a deeper truth we've found
'Cause at the end of the day
We're only dust and light and faith

Like the stars above
Like the two of us
And the Face of Love
