Exploding from their warehouse hideout in North London, Toe Hammer rewrite the overblown rock n'roll copybook by stripping rock to it's barest essentials: Guitar and pounding drums with vocals that are two parts soul to one part scream. The effect being a hypnotising rhythmic blues onslaught that is equally in debt to Buddy Rich as it is to Buddy Guy.
Featuring Ed Grimshaw on drums (ex-Hells/ex-Warm Jets), John Patterson on vocals/guitar and Denise Dunstan on guitar, Toe Hammer have been helping people discover their dancing feet since their debut at a tiny bar in Stoke Newington in 2008. Since that date they have wowed crowds at bars, living rooms, and venues all across London. Supports for Wolfmother, Dan Sartain, and Women amongst others have followed. Toe Hammer will release their debut EP in late 2009.
