Hossein Mousavi aka 'Tohi' was born on 25th January 1989 in Tehran the capital of Iran. At the young age of thirteen Tohi had a strong interest in rap and R&B music and decided he wanted to follow his dreams of becoming an International artist and break boundaries by becoming the first Persian rapper.
Through passion and determination Tohi took his music to the next level after relocating to Dubai to focus solely on his work of creating hit songs. Tohi started to build a remarkable audience making a large impact on Asian markets worldwide.
In 2010 Tohi relocated to London to continued his work with existing producers from his home town as well as new producers from all over the world. Tohi is now an existing artist in International markets with a large fan base of over 10 million across his social networks. He has released over 50 single's and 20 music videos which have all received over 20 million plays through online streams.
Tohi is most famous for hit songs such as 'Ba Man Miraghsi', 'Ba Maram', 'Roya', 'Khodaya Mercy' and 'Amazing'. Tohi currently tours internationally numerous times a year at top venues around the world.
Tohi's greatest achievements include sell out concerts at The Barclay Card Arena Hamburg, Obernhausen Arena Germany and Global Arena Stockholm. Tohi has also won several awards during his journey including best R&B/Hip Hop act of the year 2016 and 2017 from BAMA Music Awards Germany.
Tohi also has done many TV interviews and documentaries for channels such as BBC and MTV where he is currently an ambassador for MTV 'Staying Alive'.
DEBUT ENGLISH SINGLE
Tohi is set to release his debut English Single 'Esta Bonita' in 2018 with a English Album to follow. As an artist he is a perfectionist and believes in quality over quantity. In his own words he says "I constantly strive to be the best version of myself"
The new single from Tohi is entitled 'Esta Bonita' and was written and produced by Matthew Bento, Zeeko and Tohi. The producers Matthew Bento and Zeeko a.k.a Hushh have also worked with WSTRN, Emile Sande, Dua Lipa, Stefflon Don, Bluey Robinson, Paigey Cakey, Raheem Bakaré and more.
The new single 'Esta Bonita' was mastered at Abbey Road studios and will be released on 25 June 2018 on Tohi Music.
