Bio

Driving hundreds of miles with crushed chips on the bottom of your van and an abundance of smelly feet and unshowered boys may not seem appealing to most, but for us, it's our home away from home...and we wouldn't have it any other way. We are To Kill The King, and we aren't the savior of the "Scene", nor are we trying to be the next step to a Rock revolution. We're 5 young men who have a passion for music and want to dedicate our lives to spreading the music we enjoy making, and gaining as many friends as we can on the way. As a currently unsigned band, we have completed a full 2006 summer tour, and had the most amazing time ever doing it. We play (what we believe to be) a somewhat original style of Melodic Hardcore, mixing our favorite components of Hardcore and Metal, while having a major soft spot for slow atomospheric instrumentals and soothing singing. We came together in the summer of 2005, and haven't slowed down since. We just wanted a musically technical band that was composed thoughtfully and flowed easily. We wanted to create heavy music that was easy and enjoyable to listen to, yet would instrumentally set us apart from a very generic sound. Influence wise, we get our musical influences from everywhere...so i'll just say what we've been listening to as of late : Misery Signals, As Cities Burn, Protest The Hero, and Acceptance. Within the passed year, we have gained a huge local fan-base, and a nice sized fan-base that spreads all over the Tri-State area, and we gained many new fans across the U.S. this summer and we couldn't be any more grateful. We like to believe we bring something somewhat new and different to the scene, but that isn't for us to decide, is it? Give us a listen :)
