"With three opening acts for the show—Tokyo24, Erin Paula and Iamsu!, there were definitely two that stood out. First, would have to be hip-hop group (I believe) Tokyo24. They looked a little hipster—the keyboard player and drummer with glasses on and the lead—the rapper of the group, with a long shirt, and jean vest, however, they definitely captivated the crowd from the beginning of their set to the end of their set with great energy. They did open at another Above Ground Event earlier this year, however, with this performance it was almost as if they took the critiques from the last performance (if there was any) and added to their stage show--great performance." - Erin Duncan, Examiner

Bio
Tokyo24 was formed with musical direction from Producer BeatStreetS and Artist and Songwriter Duckworth. Together, we are transcending the Bay Area’s dominant musical identity one venue, one rhyme, and one groove at a time. With a face-melting style of music which we like to call “Hyper-Jazz-Post-Hop-Space-Rock”, we extract and respectfully fuse the energies of all forms of Hip Hop, Rock, Jazz, Funk, R&B, Electro, House, and Punk. From this collage of different genre’s of music, we have constructed a musical adventure of our own. Be apart of the adventure with the debut EP titled Aeonian Complex.
