Bio

Tolerance is a Progressive Rock band formed on April 2003 by Ricardo Figueroa (vocals) and Rodrigo Nunez (drums). After several line-up changes and ten years of hard work the band finally record their debut album called When Time Stops which is a blend of hard rock, funk, metal, classical and electronic sounds. Tolerances debut album is full of musicianship defined by overwhelming drumming, powerful guitar riffs, clever keyboards arrangements and remarkable vocals. Their lyrics are related to topics such as existence, science, politics and environmental issues. Some of the most important bands influences are: Deep Purple, Rush, Steve Vai, Magellan, Planet X, Living Colour and Dream Theater among others. When Time Stops was recorded and mixed in Caracas, Venezuela and mastered in Nashville, TN, USA. Some Venezuelan guest musicians took part of this recording including three bassists. Tolerances current line-up is: Ricardo Figueroa on vocals, Carlos Cabrices on guitars, Antonio Ramirez on keyboards and Rodrigo Nunez on Drums.

Antonio Ramirez (Keyboards):

Antonio Ramirez is a well known Keyboardist and composer in Venezuelas music scene. He attended Los Teques Musical Conservatory for two years. Later, he became a self-taught musician. During his years at the conservatory, he studied with professor Juan Bautista Carrenio who is an outstanding Venezuelan composer. Antonio has been part of several Venezuelan bands and has worked as a session musician for independent artists. Also, he has composed and recorded music for Venezuelan Television.

Rodrigo Nunez (Drums):

Rodrigo Nunez is a drummer who has been featured in a large number of Venezuelan bands and has also worked as a session musician recording for a variety of independent artists in the Venezuelan musical scene. He attended Ars Nova School of Music, a Berklee oriented school where he got his musical degree. He also studied improvisation with professor Luis Tomas Garcia, who is a well-known Venezuelan teacher with a music degree from New York University.

Ricardo Figueroa (Vocals):

Ricardo Figueroa is a professional singer, composer, arranger and music producer. He is a well known singer in the Venezuelan musical scene and a self-taught musician. He has done original music with some important Venezuelan bands and has been featured in several Venezuelan cover bands. In January 2012 he was invited to be part of the opening act in Caracas for the Latin American tour of the Finnish metal band Apocalyptica. He has also composed and recorded jingles for commercials. As a music producer, he has written and arranged for some Venezuelan musicals and has arranged and produced for some independent artists as well.

Carlos Cabrices (Guitars):

Carlos Cabrices is a guitarist, composer, arranger and music producer. He has done a large number of recordings and has played with many Venezuelan and international artists of different genres. He has played guitar since he was 14 years old. After finishing high school he attended Simon Bolivar Musical Conservatory to study classical guitar. Afterwards, he attended I.U.D.E.M, a Venezuelan musical college where he got his musical degree and he majored in composition. He also studied modern jazz harmony with Gerry Weil, who is a famous Venezuelan jazz maestro.
