TOM DOBSON

Born in the small town of New Milford, Connecticut, 22 year old Tom Dobson knew he was destined to be a musician when he purchased his first instrument – a $25 unstrung flea market guitar. When not playing sports or practicing in his first band “Last on Speed Dial”, Tom spent his childhood developing himself as an artist by keeping a journal of poems, thoughts and anything that inspired him. However, it wasn't until high school when Tom realized he wanted to become a musician.

As a musician one can find opportunity anywhere – and Tom learned this firsthand when he met Tyler Hilton of “One Tree Hill” in the bathroom one morning before class. After a somewhat awkward introduction Tom skipped the rest of the day's classes to rock with Tyler at the campus radio station. Not only did Tom have an opportunity to play with another talented musician, Hilton's manager left Tom with some inspiring words, “I think you have a lot of talent, and a hell of a lot of potential. Keep it up...” With those words in mind, Tom had all the motivation he needed to get in the studio and start recording.

By taking inspiration from self-experiences and the world around him, Tom self-produced his first EP "Counterpoint" and released it on iTunes in 2007. Today you can find Tom in his home studio or in one of Sony's multimillion dollar studios in New York working on his full-length album as an independent artist. With his first single, “Every Perfect Way”, due to be released late August 2010, Tom has been dedicating all of his time and energy to producing an album that will introduce himself to the world as a Top 40, Pop-Rock songwriter with sounds that anyone can enjoy.

In August 2010 Dobson was flown to Atlanta, GA as a featured artist on Demi Lovato's “Shop Til You Rock” tour presented by Pepsi.
