Blending earnest songwriting with lyrics that resonate, Tom & Kara play a combination of heartfelt originals and covers that reflect their influences and the music that moves them most. Since meeting several years ago, Tom McMahon and Kara Caltabiano became friends quickly and realized a strong musical connection was there. The two have since written songs and performed together throughout the greater Philadelphia area, playing co-headlining and supporting artist shows, street fests, talent competitions, and open mics. A dynamic, soulful vocalist and inspired performer, Kara’s voice can be heard soaring above you, piercing through you with a whisper, or blending with fellow singer-songwriter and co-lead singer Tom’s stong vocals and guitar, all to create something that moves you. Inspired by joy and pain, and all the things that shimmer and rust alike, it's all in the music here.
