Bio

If you took rock, folk, punk, and 50’s music, and stuck them all in a blender you could pour yourself a tall glass of Tomahawk Love. Five inspired musicians hailing for Streetsville Ontario form this eclectic sounding group. The three guitarists, Kevin McGilp (lead/vocals), Jay McCurdy (lead/vocals), and Mathew Brown (lead/vocals), Josh Wiles (bass/vocals), and Darren Harris rounding out the group on drums and vocals.

Our inspirations range from The Rolling Stones to Rise Against. From the sounds of The Temptations to the heavy riffs of Led Zepplin. Top it off with a little NOFX and you have the makings of Tomahawk Love. We’re all over the map and make no apologies for it. From basement shows and coffee houses to bars and the big city, we will play anywhere and everywhere to get our sound out. Like so many that have heard our wide range of music, our sound will get you out of your seat and your feet on the move.

We're just looking to have a good time all the time and make sure everyone around us is doing the same. We are in a continuous state of growth and have a need to better ourselves both as musicians and as people. This is why our sound can range from 50’s style duwap to a more current rock sound. Good music is timeless and when done well is always enjoyable. The goal is to bring all forms of rock together into something beautiful and entertaining where failure is not an option. Listening to five or six of Tomahawk Love’s tracks is like listening to the evolution of rock as we'll take your ears on a journey and show you that rock is rock, no matter how you play it.
