Bio

Tomas Mach - ISC 2006 3rd prize WINNER for song "Al' Argentino" and Finalist of ISC 2008.

From the age of 4 when he was attracted with violin there was nothing greater to beat his desire to play.
At the age of 16 he already played with Czech elite of Bluegrass music and started teaching on Bluegrass workshops.

He combined his study at Conservatory with a year staying in New York when he’d visit Matt Glaser on Berklee College of Music in Boston. While in US, he played with Beppe Gambetta too. He graduated Conservatory with honors in 1997. Traveled with Tony Trischka and one year later he took a place of first violinist of North-Czech Philharmonic Orchestra.
With tendency leaning more towards jazz, he joined Melody Makers - orchestra focusing on authentic interpretation of jazz from 20’s and 30’s. Meanwhile he was a professor at Conservatory of Jaroslav Jezek in Prague.

In 2002 he accepted an offer from Bangkok Symphony Orchestra and for two years he stayed in Thailand coaching young players of South-East Asia region. That was definitely a great experience.

Now he lives in Prague composes music for his new band and for movies.
In March 2007 he won a 3rd place in International Songwriting Competition in Nashville, TN in Instrumental category.
Now he is Finalist of ISC 2008 with composition Fugue Fest from his album Al' Argentino. Winners will be announced on the end of April.
