"Calprog 2009 Review"

Tom Brislin played a nice, low key performance in the patio with nothing but his electric grand and his voice that was a nice diversion. I especially liked his musical history of Tom leading to Spiraling. It’s awesome to hear these performers in a stripped down, “Unplugged” version. -Terry Jackson -

"Sweet melancholy, almost a lullaby"

For a number of years, after seeing him in a solo concert, I've looked forward to a release of some solo Tom Brislin music. This doesn't disappoint. Spiraling's a fine group, but Tom has a sensitivity which comes through more clearly in a solo, and it is too good to miss. Tom, please do more of this! - D.E. Hirsch -

"Tom Brislin Live at CalProg 2009"

Keyboardist Tom Brislin performed a solo set on the patio of the theater. Tom has built up quite a résumé over the years with stints in Yes, Camel, The Syn, and his own band Spiraling. His current gig is touring with the 2009 version of symphonic prog legend Renaissance. To perform at CalProg necessitated his taking redeye flights from the east coast and back during his day or two off from the Renaissance tour. He played and sang a number of songs from Spiraling’s albums as well as some solo keyboard pieces. If you haven’t heard it, Spiraling’s 2008 album Time Travel Made Easy is in my opinion a power-pop masterpiece! Tom deserves much credit for doing the show when canceling would have been easily understandable. It was definitely a treat to hear a musician of his caliber in a semi-unplugged setting. -Mike Flavin - USA Progressive Music

Still working on that hot first release.
