Not Without You

Written By: Tom Buechi

Not Without You
Words and Music by: Thomas A. Buechi

Mother, hold your son tonight, Hold him with all you might
‘Cause it’s not so good this time, He’s laid it all on the line
He needs your helping hand. To get him through
And it ain’t gonna get no better, Not with you
No, Not without you

Father, help your son if you can, He’s trying to hard to be a man
But it’s so hard to be like you, When all he seems to do is lose
Your son he needs your helping hand, To get him through
And it ain’t gonna get no better, Not with you
No, Not without you

Flyin’ on a cool, dry breeze. Lord, he just don’t know
They all say they love him, But it just don’t show, no, no
It just don’t show

Floatin’ on an amphetamine high,
He’ll to whatever, he’ll steal, cheat or lie
‘Cause the pain can’t touch him now,
The boy wants to change, but he just don’t know how
Without your helping hand, To get him through
And it ain’t gonna get no better, Not with you
No, Not without you
No, Not without you

Mother, hold your son tonight

Good Girl Gone Wront

Written By: Tom Buechi

Good Girl Gone Wrong
(Words and Music by Thomas A Buechi)
She used to be little miss innocent
Every proud father's dream
She used to drive downtown in her 924
Making all the young boys scream
Now she's the debutante of the honky tonk
Tryin' to get her drinks for free
"Come on baby, let's fall in love"
"20 dollars is all that you need"

She's just another good girl gone wrong
Livin' out her days, but all her days are so long
She's just a good girl gone wrong
Chasin' her dreams when all her rainbows are gone
She's a good girl gone wrong
She don't know the tune she keeps singin' along
She's just a good girl gone wrong
The girl's gone wrong

Well, once upon a time she met her mister right
He was gonna make her dreams come true
She was gonna be a big movie star
And he was gonna see her through
But then they got caught up in all of that glitter
And he left her here in Hollywood
You know he took her Porsche, Then he took her pride
Now what's a debutante to do?
CHORUS
Well she never did make it big in Hollywood
She just wasn't part of that scene
Well she made it in a couple of movies
But they were just so damn obscene
Now she turnin' tricks for lines and twenties
And she can't remember where she's been
Goodbye little miss innocent
Welcome to the land of sin

CHORUS
Good girl gone wrong, The girl's gone wrong
She's just another Good girl gone wrong, The girl's gone wrong

Goodbye little miss innocent
Welcome to the land of sin

Homewrecker Blues

Homewrecker Blues
Words and Music by: Thomas A. Buechi

Well, I’m careless and I’m reckless
And I do a little damage sometimes
But when I see that little girl, walk on by
I want to make that girl mine

I’m a homewrecker, babe
Honey, how about you?
Don’t you want to take a homewrecker home with you?

Come on darlin’ take a look at you
You been runnin’ all round town
And every time I look at you
Your old man ain’t around

I’m a homewrecker, babe
Honey, how about you?
Don’t you want to take a homewrecker home with you?

Well, don’t you go trustin’ no homewrecker
‘Cause he’ll fool you every time
But woman don’t you love your little homewrecker
When he lays it all on the line?

I’m a homewrecker, babe
Honey, how about you?
Don’t you want to take a homewrecker home with you?

Don’t you want to take a homewrecker home with you?

Don’t you want to take a homewrecker home with you?

Scared

Written By: Tom Buechi

Scared
Words and Music by: Thomas A. Buechi
10/2/99

I’ve been going through the motions
Thinkin’ what to do
Tryin’ to find my way back home
Lost everything that I once knew
How do I go on?

Thought I’d found a love
That would always last
Thought I’d found my way back home
But that all ended way too fast
Now I’m all alone…

I’m so scared, that I can’t hold on
I’m so scared, that I won’t find the way
I’m so scared, that everyone will run away
Like they did today…

So I’ll wake up tomorrow
And I’ll try another day
Can’t be much worse than it was today
I’ve been hanging by a thread and you took that all away
But I’ll move on…

Even if I’m scared, that I can’t hold on
I’m so scared, that I won’t find the way
I’m so scared, that everyone will run away
Like they did today…

Sometimes It's Best To Forget

Written By: Tom Buechi

Sometimes It’s Best To Forget
Words and Music by: Thomas A. Buechi

Too many nights in LA, for a small town boy
I see the lights of the city, I miss the country joys
I miss sitting by the campfire, and singing old songs
Lord, I found out too late, that’s what I wanted all along

Too many small town dreams, they all turned to dust
Back when I hit the city, it was LA or bust
Thought I’d made it to the big time, Thought I had her trust
But big town girls, You know they make such a big time fuss

Sittin’ here thinkin’ ‘bout a time I left
Wonderin’ ‘bout a girl I always thought was the best
And wonderin’ if I’ll ever find a place I can rest
Sometimes it’s best to forget…

Too many hours in one single day
I’ve been working for a living, that’s the only way
I had dreamed of so much better, than a working man’s pay
I had stars in my eyes, but now the starts have gone away

Sittin’ here thinkin’ ‘bout a time I left
Wonderin’ ‘bout a girl I always thought was the best
And wonderin’ if I’ll ever find a place I can rest
Sometimes it’s best to forget…

I miss the simple life, but I can’t go back home
And the lines on my face, they’re beginning to show
Every day that I stay here, feel I’m growing so old
I’ve worked hard all my life, but I’ve got nothin’ that I can hold

Sittin’ here thinkin’ ‘bout a time I left
Wonderin’ ‘bout a girl I always thought was the best
And wonderin’ if I’ll ever find a place I can rest
Sometimes it’s best to forget…
Sometimes it’s best to forget…
Sometimes it’s best to forget…

Where Do You Go (When You Can't Go Home)

Written By: Tom Buechi

Where Do You Go (When You Can’t Go Home)
Words and Music by: Thomas A. Buechi

I’ve always been a drifter, that’s the only life I’ve known
Travelin’ from town to town, there’s nowhere left to roam
I don’t want to keep on movin’, I don’t want to be alone
But where do you go when you can’t go home?
Where do you go when you can’t go home?

I look outside my window, at the snow that’s falling down
It’s just another lonely night, in another lonely town
Everyday’s the same, when you’re friend they can’t be found
Where do you go when you can’t go home?
Where do you go when you can’t go home?

So I’ll light another cigarette and lay my body down
Tomorrow’s just another day and love is all around
If I could take the time to find my way back home
I’d never have to spend another night here all alone

Time has drifted by, and it’s left me in its wake
I never took the time to give, I only learned to take
Looking back from here, I can see all my mistakes
But where do you go when you can’t go home?
Where do you go when you can’t go home?

Fairfax Blues

Written By: Tom Buechi

Fairfax Blues
Words and Music by: Thomas A. Buechi

I get up early every mornin’
And I stay out late at night
I’m wanderin’ ‘round town
Just tryin’ to get it right
But not matter what I try
It all comes right down to you
It’s so hard to get by
When you’ve got those Fairfax Blues

The folks down south,
You know they’ve been so good to me
All I need’s a sweet young lady
I’ll be happy as can be
But ‘til that day
Don’t know what I’m gonna do
I just stay up all night
Singin’ these Fairfax Blues

Ooh, Lovely lady, what you gonna do?
I’ve been wonderin’ all night how I’m gonna do by you
You gonna take me home darlin’?
Or am I gonna lose?
I get so damn tired
Of singin’ these Fairfax Blues (I sing ‘em like this)

I’ve got snow outside my windows
And rain up on my roof
I’d walk home with you darlin’
But I’ve got holes in my shoes
I’ve been tryin’ all evenin’
What else can I do?
Looks like your interest is fadin’
Gonna have to play those Fairfax Blues (They play ‘em like this down south)

Living For Today

Written By: Tom Buechi

Living For Today
Words and Music by: Thomas A. Buechi

I’m not taking any chances
I’m just living for today
I’m not making no big changes
I’m just living life my way
And I’m not cryin’ ‘bout yesterday
Tomorrow’s just another day
And I’m not making no big changes
I’m just living for today

I’m just living for today
Lost all my changes
That’s the price I’ve had to pay
I’m just living for today
Can’t let tomorrow
Chase my dreams away

Once I thought I was a dancer
And I could lead the world my way
Thought I was big romancer
But I’m still learnin’ every day
Once I had myself a sweat heart
But then I threw it all away
‘Cause, once I thought I was a dancer
And I could lead the world my own way

Now every night I sit up all alone
Staring at the TV set
Every mornin’ I wake up all alone
It’s so hard to forget
And I wonder how it might have been
If I just had the guts to stay
But once I thought I was a dancer
And I could lead the world my way

Let It Ride

Written By: Tom Buechi

Let It Ride
Words and Music by: Thomas A. Buechi

I could hold you in my arms tonight
I could try to be all of your dreams
You could run away and leave tonight
You know that wouldn’t solve anything

So we let it ride, just one more time
We try to make love stay
If we let it ride, just one more time
Love may never go away
You gotta make love stay

We’ve been lovin’ each other for so very long
Sometimes things seem so right
But every now and then it seems to wrong
It feels like you’ll never be mine

So we let it ride, just one more time
We try to make love stay
If we let it ride, just one more time
Love may never go away
You gotta make love stay

So many loves have been thrown away
Because neither one wanted to try
It’s up to us to do better this time
We just can’t let our love die

So we let it ride, just one more time
We try to make love stay
If we let it ride, just one more time
Love may never go away
You gotta make love stay

You gotta make love stay
You gotta make love stay

Raised On Heartache

Written By: Tom Buechi

Raised On Heartache
Words and Music by: Thomas A. Buechi

Well, I was only seventeen when I first looked in her eyes
Knew that I was ready to go
Well, I was only eighteen when she said goodbye
Why the hell she have to go?

I was raised on heartache, yeah, that’s why I know
Every time I love ‘em, they just up and go
I was raised on heartache, that’s the only life I’ve ever known

Well, every time I trust ‘em, they just walk away
What’s a poor boy to do?
You can treat them nice; give ‘em all that money can buy
They’ll always be leavin’ you

I was raised on heartache, yeah, that’s why I know
Every time I love ‘em, they just up and go
I was raised on heartache, that’s the only life I’ve ever known

Well, listen hear brother, that’s the way it is
Everybody’s gotta pay
You got to give it a try, before it works out right
And take it easy day by day

I was raised on heartache, yeah, that’s why I know
Every time I love ‘em, they just up and go
I was raised on heartache, that’s the only life I’ve known

I was raised on heartache, that’s the only life I’ve ever known
I was raised on heartache, that’s the only life I’ve ever known
