"Vanessa Franko - The Audio File"

Buechi blends the best styles of guitar on his debut record. Songs such as "It's All Right" have Latin tinges a la Santana. Other tracks are straight-up blues with no chaser. For instance, "Homewrecker Blues" could be a candidate for George Thorogood and the Destroyers, one of those "I'm a bad guy" blues songs with lots of solo work and a good groove. Another standout on the album, "Good Girl Gone Wrong" has a Mark Knopfler kind of vibe. "Scared" is the big ballad on the record. - Riverside Press Enterprise - 11/26/08
