Tom Cullen

Tom Cullen has music running through his veins, born and raised in South London from a family of musicians. At age 8 Tom started writing raps at primary school with his friends in the play ground and from then on hasn't stopped making music.

At 14 Tom started to attend the BRIT School. There he could mix it with like minded musicians, jamming in class rooms, recording tunes in the studio and performing in foyer concerts. In his four years at the BRITS he was able to hone his musical skills by playing in a variety of bands, having songs included on the annual showcase CD.

In his formative years towards the end of college Tom gigged the UK with a number of bands until he discovered he had a knack for writing a tune alone. Armed with an Atari ST and a Fostex 8 track, he started to write and record his own tracks.

In the early years of two step Tom co-wrote songs included on dance compilations and sang in an alternative Gospel choir in Brixton. It was during this time that Tom learnt his trade in the studio, programming, producing and engineering tracks, whilst also developing his own unique style drawing influences from Funk, Hip Hop and Dance.

Tom is now writing music that reflects urban life in England and tells a tale that everyone knows and can identify with. Blending a range of styles with Electro he has created a diverse sound that typifies the melting pot of London culture. True to his roots vocally Tom has a distinctive English accent in his music and has a lyrical style that is evocative of our time.
