Hurricane Lullaby

Written By: Thomas A. Dalton

Hurricane Lullaby

When the hurricane comes and it’s time for bed
I get sleepy just hearing the sound
The wind and the rain are relaxing to me
And my family is all gathered round

I know I’ll be safe as the storm drifts away
And when I wake up the sun’s going to shine
With my mom and dad here all my fears disappear
And I’m falling asleep tonight

Chorus
A hurricane lullaby
I’m dreaming that I can fly
Over the storm my wings let me soar
On a Hurricane lullaby

In my sweet dreams everything is at peace
As I drift through the soft, fluffy clouds
Far away from it all, I can hear my mom call
And her voice is a beautiful sound

I know I’ll be safe as the storm drifts away
And when I wake up the sun’s going to shine
With my mom and dad here all my fears disappear
And I’m falling asleep tonight

My Little Flashlight

Written By: Thomas A. Dalton

My Little Flashlight

When the power goes out in a hurricane
I take a deep breath cause I know I’ll be safe
My mom and dad turn the lanterns on
And I reach for my little flashlight

Chorus
My little flashlight – it shines so bright
It lights up my room on a hurricane night
When I get scared I sing my song
And turn my little flashlight on

It’s a little bit scary when the lights go out
But I don’t cry and I don’t shout
Cause my mom and dad say we’ll be all right
And I’ve got my little flashlight

(chorus)

I walk around the house with my little flashlight
I have to watch my step in the dark at night
But soon my dad will turn the generator on
And the darkness will be all gone

(chorus)
