Bio

Tom Garland recently opened up for Joel McHale (Star of NBC's "Community" & E! Television's "The Soup") in front of a sold-out crowd of 1,100 fans. He also opened sold-out shows for Carlos Menica (Comedy Central's "Mind of Mencia"), Alex Reymundo (One of "The Original Kings of Latin Comedy", Comedy Central, Showtime) and a long, growing list of the nation's top headliners.

Garland performed on opening night of the 2010 Iowa Comedy Festival, featured as one of the state of Iowa's best 'up-and-comers' and since then has gone above and beyond the title. He was a finalist in the 2011 Funniest Person in Iowa Contest and was featured in the 2011 Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival on the 4th of July.

As one of Iowa's most traveled comedians, you've seen him performing live at festivals, concert halls, clubs, colleges, comedy contests, restaurants, bars, fundraisers, and special events all across the Midwest. He has been featured on a wide-variety of radio programs, telling jokes alongside DJ ICECOLD and getting hilariously politically incorrect with the guys from "American Reason" on KRUI 89.7FM. Garland has also been featured as a comedian in local newspapers (The Iowa City Press-Citizen) and local television stations (UITV - "Iowa Desk and Couch"). He serves as the head emcee for 'One Night Stand' Comedy Night at The Yacht Club and for The Summit Nightclub's Comedy Showcase in Iowa City, IA, where he resides when he is not touring.

Tom Garland remains one of the youngest, most sought-after comedians in Iowa. He may be an 'up-and-comer', but success on stage has been no laughing matter for this Iowa native. Garland's natural stage presence, tenacious attitude, constant intensity and far from sugar-coated material leaves audience laughing and begging for more. From college bros, to suburban parents, to late-show drunks, Garland can adapt to any audience and deliver with unrelenting energy. Come see why audiences everywhere are getting behind Tom Garland (and ducking for cover).
