The best kept secret in music

"Vagabond Miami"

If there's one thing local trio Call it Radar do well, it's rock a stage. Constant touring and multiple festival slots — including one at 2008's SXSW — have paid off, and tonight Tom Gorrio, Arik Dayan, and Tony Aguirre trot out their polished live act at the Vagabond. Intricate guitar lines twine around melodic vocals and build into jam-out climaxes that are augmented with bits of trumpet and hand claps. Meanwhile, dynamic shifts in volume and tempo add unexpected twists and turns to the group's emotional power pop.
