Biography

I’m from New York City and I have a burning desire deliver my sound to the world. I’ve been in and out of bands since I was in high school. My last band project was short-lived, but it gave birth to the unique sound I now embrace as a solo artist. I write all my music and lyrics, pulling ideas from situations in my life, and the passionate words and catchy melodies can strike a nerve with any listener. Intensity and emotion are standards in my music, but they are just part of the many pieces that make up the wholeness of my work. My genre-breaking style comes through influences from artists like Dashboard Confessional, John Mayer, and Jimmy Eat World.

Missing Piece

Written By: Tom Kopec

So here we are together at last
A two piece puzzle and you’re my other half
There’s only one perfect fit
So put your hand in mine and make us complete

What are we waiting for
Your confusion holds us back
Can’t you see you’re for me
I can see it so clearly now

Can’t you hear me screaming
Calling out your name
When will we finish this puzzle

Turn out the light
I give up on this fight
I’ll try and pretend
Just say you’ll be mine in the end

Only clumsy emotions to show
They’ve all run out
No tears left to cry
You’re all alone and so am I

Turn out the light
I give up on this fight
I’ll try and pretend
Just say you’ll be mine in the end

Turn out the light
I give up on this fight
I’ll try and pretend
Just say you’ll be mine in the end

Can’t you hear me screaming
Calling out your name
When will we finish this puzzle

Just Dying Here

Written By: Tom Kopec

What a perfect time for you
A chance to right the things that you’ve done wrong
Could you wait forever
If I told you it would have to be that long

And you heard me say I’m sorry
But sometimes words don’t mean a thing

Colors bleeding through
I wish that I was anywhere but here
I should have told you then
I missed my chance and you’ve gone away
No looking back goddamn that day

What you wanted was what you couldn’t have
Now it’s gone and it’s never coming back
And it’s time for you to leave
To a place that you can’t even conceive

All you wanted was to be happy
Maybe happiness was just too far away
I saw it die and all I did was bite my lip
We rush the time to get somewhere but once we’re there we rush again

What you wanted was what you couldn’t have
Now it’s gone and it’s never coming back
And it’s time for you to leave
To a place that you can’t even conceive

Breathe in deep
The cool air soothes the burning of your heart
Confusions might
Cloud the path you’ve taken from the start

I’m standing in the back now waiting for the right time tell me it’s the right time tell me it’s the
I’m standing in the back now waiting for the right time tell me it’s the right time tell me it’s the
I’m standing in the back now waiting for the right time tell me it’s the right time
Tell me it’s the right time
Tell me it’s the right time

Something new

Written By: Tom Kopec

Stayed up late to watch the rising sun
Still don’t know what I should do ‘bout you
Wish that I could tell the big news
Like what I did and what I’m going through, ‘cause it’s all true

I was tired of waiting for your call
Lost my sense but found her on the way
I find it hard to hold her close and tight
When I wonder in whose bed you spend your nights, I know it’s his

Whatcha doing in your Sunday outfit
You know that church closed its doors long ago
Why you wearing that old silver necklace
The one that had our names engraved

Sleep real late and food don’t taste the same
It’s something new but lord I haven’t changed
Things are looking better everyday
Only you know that’s just what I’d say, when it’s not ok

I’ve been working with a paper hammer
To try and fix this metal souvenir
Let’s pretend we’re acting in a movie
Where we end up together again, tell me when

We take these roads to reach a greater good
Saving grace from those who understood
Streams of water part and then they mend
I guess that all I wanted was a friend
