Bio
21-year-old musician Tom Morley writes quirky, catchy, upbeat and relatable tunes. From songs about siblings to terrible nightclubs to hilarious first dates, Tom writes about real life, which could be the reason why his songs are so infectiously likeable to such a varied audience.
Although Tom has been properly writing and playing since the age of 14, in the last two years he has performed relentlessly across London, most notably supporting ‘punk rocker’ Sandi Thom, and Steve Appleton at Bush Hall.
After breaking his wrist a year ago, Tom picked up the Ukulele (as it was the only instrument small enough to play during his time in a cast!), which clearly helped to develop his unique way of songwriting. Thanks to this, he now calls on an array of instruments for writing and recording; including the Banjo and Glockenspiel to name a few.
Most of 2010 was spent writing and recording his debut EP, ready for 2011. Having spent the last 2 years travelling and writing songs, he now studies Popular Music at Goldsmiths, University of London.
