Tom Mulcahy began performing at open mics and coffeehouses ten years ago in Seattle. He has sinced honed his performance skills in the dark barrooms and coffeehouses of the Arizona desert, the California coast, the Hawaiian Islands and the mountains of northern New England. In 2003 and 2004, Tom played bi-weekly gigs at the Lion's Den in Cambridge, Vermont. In this setting, he developed a unique stamina and comfort playing extended sets of original material for a variety of audiences.

Tom recently moved to Boston and is currently recording an album to be released in early 2007. His influences are diverse and his songwriting stlye touches on old-time bluegrass, concious hip-hop, edgy blues, and the work of countless folk musicians he has shared the stage with at open mics across the country. The contrast of darkness and hope in Tom's lyrics and the rollercoaster of emotions strategically displayed in each set leave the audience genuinely touched.
