"Rock in PA.com"

"In an age where Billy Joel gets more headlines for his driving misadventures and rehab stints than his music, it's refreshing to find out the his musical influence is still being felt. Tommy Eichmann and his band write and perform well-constructed pop/rock songs that evoke artists like John Mayer and, yes, the aforementioned Piano Man. Tommy is an excellent piano player himself... Tommy's aim is convey powerful emotion in his songs, and judging by his CD, he's right on target. If you're looking for a refreshing change...you need to check out Tommy Eichmann!" - Andy Meyers

"Adam Birch"

"It's remarkable how Tommy Eichmann can capture the soul & essence of music over the last 30 years, all while being fresh and creative. Surely a lot is in store for Tommy and his band." - International Recording Artist (MCA/Universal, Virgin Records)

"Daren Metz"

"Tommy Eichmann's debut release is a breath of fresh air in a world polluted by the average, 3 chord, up and coming bands and artists. The songs show originality and inventiveness, and the music has a vibrancy that is needed to show everyone that real music is still alive."

- Recording Artist (Sony Music, Sigma Sound Studios)

Bio

From Philadelphia, PA, the home of original music, the latest Tommy Eichmann project is the culmination of years of talent and ambition. Reaching his breaking point of business driven pop-culture and the myriad of shredding guitars that every Berklee student encounters, Tommy Eichmann is on a journey to recapture the essence of music that seems to be lost in a world of fantasy. Drawing from an array of influences, from Billy Joel to John Mayer, Tommy's soothing voice and lyrical intuition combine for an instantly recognizable sound. The dynamic range of emotions in this fresh brand of pop is complimented by a blissfully melodic, yet rhythmically driven, musical pallete. Now with a group of talented and dedicated musicians, Tommy Eichmann is ready to begin his journey...

Tommy first discovered his love for songwriting at the age of 15, with the creation of "All Roads", the first track from his debut release When the Morning Comes. While studying music and songwriting in high school, it became clear that Tommy's passion for music would take him on a lifelong journey.

"For me it began when I heard Billy Joel's, 'Scenes From an Italian Restaurant'. I heard the amazing story that he was trying to tell, and wanted to make people feel the same kinds of emotion through music."

Tommy's first experiences as a performer were in cover bands during high school. Despite the valuable experiences that these bands offered him, Tommy found himself unsatisfied, lacking an outlet for his own creativity. His insatiable desire to perform his own music led him to venture out as a solo artist, playing local venues and coffee houses.

"When I started playing out, I finally had the freedom that I craved as an artist. But, I really did miss playing with other musicians. So I called my best friend (and current drummer), Brenden, and asked if he wanted to start a new band. We called up some guys that we had played with on occasion, and put a group together."

Tommy's band has gone through many incarnations, the most recent of which has afforded him the opportunity to fully express the powerful emotions that are so present in his delicately crafted songs. The strong chemistry between the band members proves for a fun and exciting live show, as well as a deeply personal and emotive record.

"I'm incredibly excited about my debut release, When the Morning Comes. I am lucky to be backed by four of the most talented musicians that I have ever had the opportunity to work with. I truly hope that people are able to identify with my record. There is a lot of reality there, a lot of raw emotion. These songs and this record are not for me, or the guys in my band. This is for the people, people who long for pop music with reality and substance."
