By the time he had reached his teens, Tommy had experience on several instruments including Trumpet, Baritone Horn and Piano. As well as Bass, Acoustic and Electric Guitar. He was writing and producing his own songs throughout high school while also performing in most of the schools music ensembles.
Although his career path in college was electrical engineering, Tommy became heavily distracted by all that was happening in the Fine Arts Music Department's Recording Studios and Computer Music Labs.
With Professor Jon Welstead mentoring him, Tommy became an intregral part of the Recording Studios - as a producer of several local and national artists, including the Grammy/Platinum award winning acts Arrested Development and The Bo Deans. He also had the opportunity to work with the late composers John Downey and Leonard Salzedo as well as solo performers such as Judit Jaimes, the Chronos Quartet, Present Music and many others.
After leaving the university, Tommy continued producing other artists. Finally, however, Tommy returned to his own music career when he became songwriter, lead singer and producer for High Water Limit (1997-2002). After producing four successful albums with HWL, Tommy decided to venture out on his own.
He has recently completed his 6th CD release, "About Love" and is starting work already on his Volume 7 release.
Tommy has a strong and wide vocal range. He has an aggressive and dynamic style on the acoustic guitar. His solo and full band performances are captivating. His songs are true to life and on par with anything that is out there today.
