Discography

Tommy Redd has written almost every song ever recorded by Nantucket..That's 8 albums worth and still writing. His label for this release is Rocco Recordings, formerly Broadcast Records who released a single in 1984 by Carlena Williams, back up singer for Pink Floyd, Humble Pie, Donna Summer, Rolling Stones and many others. That record is now a collector item on E bay.

Bio

Who Is Tommy Redd? That's a strange question for those of us in the south east U.S. Everybody round here knows who Nantucket and Tommy Redd are. First singed to EPIC records in 1978, Tommy wrote all songs for the band Nantucket, who scored several regional hits and secured tours with AC/DC, Kiss, Boston and Journey. They were headlining their own shows, with warm up acts like 38 Special, Cheap Trick and The Cars. Tommy Redd songs are collector items to many musicians. Don't let his country boy demeanor fool you either. Listeners say..."He's just got it, It's a gift" and on and on through the years. Tommy wrote and played on, Born In A Honky Tonk, Is It Wrong To Rock and Roll, Hearbreaker and many more successful songs for this band. Nantucket still packs them in and recently opened 2 shows for the HEART reunion tour. Tommy still writes and performs for this awesome band. Tommy has always loved to write funny southern rockers as well as the serious stuff.....so...we decided to put out the best of his material, recorded outside Nantucket, that had been accumulating over the past 10 years or so. Everyone has their favorites from this recording and it is indeed a whoe lot of fun while the obvious song writing talent still shines. Some of these songs are country, some are rock, some are funny and some are OUTRAGEOUS. Tommy's love for the South inspired most of these songs, and he has even been accused of sounding....well...kind of red neck....WELCOME TO REDDNECK RHAPSODY!
