If Tenacious D and James Taylor teamed up to bring you tuba driven children's music, it'd sound a lot like Tom's Fun Band. We're three guys who are passionate about music and education and bring humor into everything we do. Tom's Fun Band songs are written to teach important lessons about emotions, family, friendship, and macaroni and cheese. Our shows are true family events with interactive music that kid's love and appropriate humor that parents appreciate. We're not trying to replace The Black Eyed Peas in our adult listeners' I-Pod. Instead we're keenly focused on entertaining young children. As parents, we know that there is no greater entertainment than seeing one's own children fully engaged and loving a show that's just for them!
Tom's Fun Band was born when Tom's twins were born. The new life that comes with parenthood made gigging in the manner he was used to a thing of the past. Tom started writing songs for his little ones and before long, the first TFB CD, Happy Street, was released. Tom, his brother Chris, and their great friend, Will teamed up to bring these songs to the stage and each feel honored to be a part of so many children's lives.
Why are we different? When you come a Tom's Fun Band show, you're going to leave happy, exhausted and a little smarter than you were when you arrived...and that's the way it should be!
