Tom Wardle

 Nottingham, England, GBR
BandPopSinger/Songwriter

With a sound as slick and as polished as his appearance, Tom Wardle is shamelessly bringing back the sound of melody-driven classic pop to the nation's airwaves: no gimmicks, no scene-driven false-hype, just quality songs delivered with a little charm and a lot of style.

Biography

om Wardle is a singer, songwriter and experienced performer hailing from Nottingham and now based in Battersea, London.

Crafting his rousing stage presence over the past eight years, Tom has racked up well over a thousand gigs across the UK, Southern France and the Caribbean, including the exclusive Parrot Cay resort in the Turks and Caicos. Grammy-winning sound engineer Tim Young mastered the EP at Metropolis Studio in London. The follow up single 'Summer In Bloom' is set to be released on 18th May 2015.

As a songwriter Tom has worked with Ivor Novello winner Tim Kellett (Simply Red, Olive) and Stereophonics’ producer Steve Bush, who co-wrote Tom’s song ‘Be Another Night’ (2009), available on iTunes and Spotify.

Part Of Me

Written By: Tom Wardle

So it hit me that clear summer night.
Undiscovered, she declared herself mine,
It was right there I felt my heart reignite,
I just knew I'd love her 'til the day I die.

All those late nights spent wrapped in my arms,
Humming sweet songs and fixed in her charms,
Come the morning she'd be my alarm,
I could feel it in her smile and grace,

I knew she'd always be a part of me,
Part of me,
How could something so good have come for free?
She's a little part of me.

As the year's pass us, I watch us grow.
Seen a lifetime and the beauty in it's show,
How much I've sacrificed, she'll never know,
I made sure that she had everything

I know she'll always be a part of me.
Part of me,
How could something so good have come for free?
She's a little part of me.

They say you never know just what it is, what you want or what it does,
Until you've seen it with your eyes,
Well I've seen now I understand, and I guarantee it's mine.

Keep her safe when she's not in my sight,
Gave her wings now she must learn to fly,
I know one day she'll have to leave me behind,

But I hope she'll always feel a part of me.
Part of me,
How could something so good have come for free?
She's a little part of me,
She can give, but she takes so easily,
Takes a little part of me.

California (Here I Come)

Written By: Tom Wardle

Think I need a brand new start,
For my ever changing heart,
Born here but I don't belong.?
Eleven hours on a plane,
Go where no-one knows my name,
Live a Brian Wilson song.??

You see I’ve always been a dreamer, but I think this one’s in reach,
I may not know the people but I love the word they preach.

I hope California's never grey,
San Francisco let me stay
Surf down Pacific Palisades.?
I wanna take a walk down Hollywood,
They tell me Malibu looks good.
'Cause I’m not living like I should.??

Seen it on the TV shows,
The Hills and 90210,
?And Im still here thinking why?
Palm trees and drop-top cars,
Swimming pools and movie stars,
Wanna see a thousand summer sky.

Because everything thats gone before I’d gladly leave behind.
I’m praying that the Golden State will help erase my mind.

I hope California's never grey,
San Francisco let me stay
Surfing down Pacific Palisades.
?I wanna take a walk down Hollywood,
Maybe Malibu looks good.
Cus I’m not living like I should

I’m on my way, so let me stay

Maybe it's time to say good-bye,
Start again and leave it all behind,
I've been waiting all my life.
Learn to drive on the other side,
Life's a highway eight cars wide
All I'm asking is can I come inside?

I need to feel that sun get in my veins and run,
California here I come.
From Oceanside to Westwood,
They're saying saying “It’s all good”.
California here I come.

I hope California's never grey,
San Francisco let me stay
Surf Pacific Palisades.
?I wanna take a walk down Hollywood,
Girls in Malibu looks good.
Cus I’m not living like I should
I hope California makes my day,
LA take my breath away,
San Diego can I stay?
I wanna hang around in Hollywood
Manhattan Beach looks good
Then maybe I’ll be living like should.

Pink Lilies

Written By: Tom Wardle

I drove to your house and stopped on the way for some pink lilies for you.
Came to apologise for yesterday and thought pink lilies would do.
You said “It’s too late for flowers, you’ve kept me for hours. But then that’s what you do.”
Slammed the door shut and then left me there standing with these pink lilies for you.

I came to your house and stopped on the way for some pink lilies for you.
Topped up the car and when I went to pay I thought pink lilies would do
But you went ballistic, your point, which, I missed it. I just kept smiling on through.
I couldn’t pretend I’d not heard this before, last time I bought pink lilies for you

What beautiful song could I sing you right now to bring back that smile to you?
You still look as pretty when you put on that pout
And if you take them back I know those pink lilies will bloom

I came to your house and stopped on the way for some pink lilies for you
Wrote a card, said “Forgive me.” then threw it away, thought, just these lilies’ll do.
Still you just wouldn’t listen and you’re calls, yes I missed them. So I’m just as bad as you
I know that you think I’m not always sincere but these pink lilies are true.

It’s just a misunderstanding. You took what I said to be true.
You called me a bastard, I caught the pink lilies you threw.

What beautiful song could I sing you right now to bring back that smile to you?
You still look as pretty when you put on that pout
And if you take them back I know those pink lilies will bloom

It’s just a misunderstanding, you took what I said to be true.
But I’ve seen this before so I’ll save these pink lilies for you?,
All this will pass so I’ll save these pink lilies for you

Sweet Insanity

Written By: Tom Wardle

I know what it’s like to not get out of bed, but I don’t think I could cope
With all those voices inside my head. I’d like to hide the world away up in my little room

The solace you sought from the music you made, I think I found the same place too.
You sang about sun but lived you in the shade. You broke down crying, stop the aeroplane

Now there’s no vanity, And all you are is all you need .We still love you in your sweet insanity

Think I found God in your sweet harmony, It got beneath my skin and bones
When I’m alone it brings serenity. You’ve got happiness wrapped in a melody

Now there’s no vanity, and life can still be perfect in your dreams, you keep on smiling, sweet insanity

It’s time to rest, you’re work in this world’s done
You gave it all when you were young
Our broken hearts were healed with just one song.

And everything that’s gone before
Can’t touch you now?I’m pleased to hear you finished? What’s been taking you a life time.
Rest up now there’s no more here to do.
