Tom Wynbrandt is one of NewYork's better songwriters. He's worked with Paul Simon, Patti Smith and Blondie, among others. With his band, The Miamis, he was a CBGB icon.
Wynbrandt's songs are true to life. They're sometimes sad, often funny and always fun to listen to. The sentiments are positive and the language is fresh.
His influences, he says, are "everything I've ever heard." Some people claim to hear traces of the Beach Boys, Eddie Cochran, Rodgers and Hart, and Ricky Nelson, along with Wynbrandt's own and highly original music and lyrics.
