To My Surprise is an ongoing, ever changing work in progress. Consisting of six members based out of Des Moines, Iowa. These partners in crime are as follows: Dorothy Hecht- vocals and keys, Jarrod Brom- keys, guitar, and science, Paul Thompson- guitar and vocals, Wade Thompson- bass and vocals, M. Shawn Crahan- drums and vocals, Patrick Mcbride- vocals. Together they are To My Surprise. Collectively their goal is to push the limits of music today in the here and the now. Always chasing the rabbit down the hole.
Always searching for the new sound, the new way. The band debuted in 2003 with the release of their self titled album, produced by Rick Rubin on Roadrunner Records. The band is currently held up in the wormhole writing their second record. They are starting the record on March and anticipate a July release. The band also plans on attending European festivals this summer before the release of the record and an extensive tour in the states, Europe and Japan after the release of the record.
