TDR more commonly known as Tone Da Rapper is noted for his diverse lyrical content and his variety of different flows. Tone, born July, 2, 1989 in Bronx, N.Y, has always been exposed to the music industry whether it was from seeing his father DJ. Toney Tone take over the streets 1 party at a time, Working as an intern at Def Jam Records for his Uncle Shampoo (YNVS) or just watching close family friends such as R&B sensation Tony Sunshine and Bronx hip hop Artist Reef Hustle make their way through the industry.
While watching and observing his surroundings Tone gathered his own thoughts and theories and applied them to everything he was taught. “Honestly, now of days it is so easy for someone to get in a studio and record a song, which is why it’s so hard to be heard. Anyone can pick up a mic and say "I'm a Rapper" the question is, how hard and how long will you pursue the title? Not many people last, most settle for what they call “hood fame”." says TDR.
Since Tone has started he's been featured on 6 DJ Kool Kid (The hood legend) mixtapes, released his debut mixtape “The Awakening” also hosted by DJ Kool Kid and sold 10 thousand copies in its first month, has appeared on 4 hip hop DVDs, recorded over 200 songs, worked with producers such as Leantv, The Heatmakers, Araab Muzik and other well known producers. Has Featured on Hip Hop websites such as He has appeared in Showcases from N.Y. to Boston. He has also been featured on PNC satellite radio and also a number of European radio stations.
TDR is young, ambitious and is definitely going to take the industry by storm sooner than you think with his new singles "Hate Me" Ft. S.U.P.R.E.M.E and club banger "New Boo”. From His R&B love songs to his street anthems, it is visible to the naked eye that he knows what he's doing.
