TONEY is a risk taking artist wielding a bold swing of unique roots music. His track brushes with world influences rooted deeply in the soul of blues fueled by rock & roll energy and electronic synthesizers. With this lethal combination, tasty guitar playing and singing filled with raw emotion, Toney wins over fans every where he goes.

TONEY has shared the stage with blues/roots music heavy hitters such as David Bromberg, Louisiana Red, and Tom Larsen. His third solo release, Born to Live Free, delivers ten songs penned by the artist. Released on Toney's own Baby Deer Recordings label, the music landscape stretches from a soulful upbeat approach with songs like "Empty", to a gritty distortion filled roots-blues with "Explode", onto blues-rock anthems such as the title track "Born to Live Free". The album was produced from the ground up by Toney as he performed all instruments on the recording excluding piano on the heartfelt ballad "Miss You".
