Biography

While many artists struggle to establish their musical identity, Tone Yea' is in full command of her craft, Identity, and her music. Currently she is working on her hit singles "Conceited", "Question", and "Shoulda seen this cumin", captivating music that heralds the arrival of a gifted new talent, one whose music feels familiar in the best possible way, while striking out on its own territory.
A Georgia girl who grew up in Decatur, Tone Yea' enjoyed drawing as a child, but didn't really take music seriously until she was in her early teens. She explains, " I started writing songs in my head, and it took my interest in music to a another level. I had to start back drawing so I could picture the music to the ideas in my head." Almost immediately, she began writing more and more and ultimately began vocalizing what she had put on paper, going through what she calls, "the typical post-high school lifestyle."
Recording on her laptop and playing the songs she was writing for her friends, Tone Yea' saw their genuinely excited reaction. She was mainly influenced by several artists to in clude Wiz Khalifa, Juicy J, Project Pack, B.I.G. 2 Pac, Lil Wayne and Kirko Bangz. "I grew up listening to old school music," Tone Yea' explains, " my mom used to play music all the time. I naturally gravitated to that kind of sound; There's a warmth and timelessness to it that I've always loved."
The freedom to be herself and to make the music exactly the way she wants to make it allowed Tone Yea' to self-Produce, as well the space to experiment. dealing with the trial and error that comes along with it, she has learned to go with the flow and perfect her music.
