Biography

People who meet Tonisha Weaver usually use a particular word to describe her: amazing.

Already an accomplished actress, dancer and model, Tonisha is also a gifted vocalist, songwriter and musician, and is getting ready to define herself with her first full-length CD.

When she originally moved to Los Angeles in 2008, Tonisha realized fantastic success as an actor, appearing on “Lincoln Heights”, “Everybody Hates Chris”, "Hannah Montana" and national commercials. After moving to Arizona and taking a hiatus in 2009-2010 to focus on school, she is back in Los Angeles in 2011 to pursue her dreams.

Her first single of 2011, "You Make Me Happy" was added to the "Marley & Me: The Puppy Years" official soundtrack album after director Michael Damian heard the song and loved it.

Although she is young, she is already a veteran vocalist and performer. She began her passion at the amazing age of 2 when she recorded a tape for Christmas, singing and telling stories. She soon began performing in school and church performances and even performed the National Anthem at a minor-league baseball game. She is also a musician, having played piano for most of her life, she also began to learn guitar at age 10.

In 2008/2009 Tonisha worked with producer/songwriter Steve Valenzuela and released her first EP "It Is What It Is" (available on iTunes, Amazon, etc). With one of her songs mixed by Grammy-award winning mixer Tom Weir, her first release received a warm welcome.

Tonisha continues to work on her first full-length CD and has been doing session work as a vocalist in 2011 and plans to focus heavily on her acting career in upcoming months.
