The band showcase at CB's Gallery brought breakthrough performances from Reese, newcomers Tonya B. Henderson, Escape, Rainshine, Elza, Felix Brown, Reddyo, HeadShop, Seattle's Nokturnal Rage, Queen Yemisi, Michelle Jackson, Silence, The Digital Pimps and Phoenix & The Shadow. Bands came not only from the NY area, but from as far as Japan, Texas, Seattle, London, Atlanta, Boston, Jamaica, and North Carolina. - Ronald Lawly

Bio
The music is a mental beast on its own. My experiences, my debriefings from a hard days work, my desires for the eyes of the world, and voice of those who stuggle to find the words themselves for what they are feeling. It's all Singer/Songwriter material with some twist and play on words. I discovered the spiritual, healing force of music at an early age. By the age of 5, I began singing with my mother in the church choir. Music proved to be the cohesive tool binding mother and daughter. Music would continue to play an important part in my life. I received a music scholarship to Charleston Southern University in 1991. I received the opportunity of a lifetime after winning an open contest to perform with Gladys Knight at the famous Fox Theatre in Atlanta. Currently I am employed as a music therapist in a phychiatric hospital in Gainesville Ga. I continue to spread my musical message through my work and shows in excellent acoustic benues such as Eddies Attic, The Crimson Moon, and Borders Books and Music. It's very laid back...It's very me and hopefully you.
