Bio
Tony Jacksons music transcends every area of mainstream gospel, providing a full menu of musical styles. His music is innovative and cutting edge, offering a variety of gospel flavors.
Tony was born and raised in Trenton, NJ. He began singing as a child in his church choir. Tony was an original member of Gospel recording artist Devoted and recorded on Savoy/Malaco Records. Tony has shared the stage and worked with gospel greats including Kirk Franklin, Tye Tribbet, Frank Williams, The Williams Brothers, Milton Biggham, Dorothy Norwood, Carnell Murell, GA Mass Choir, Mississippi Mass Choir and The Annointed Pace Sisters to name a few. Tony is a true baritone and embraces the deep, soulful, smooth style God has blessed him with. He has become an accredited producer, song writer and arranger. Tony currently serves as the Minister of Music for the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church of Trenton, NJ. Tony also wrote and produced Calvarys first CD recording project in 2003 entitled Worship.
The songs on Tonys first solo project offer hope and joy for the discouraged, healing for the wounded and peace for the spiritually troubled. Tony says, The songs on this CD will take you on a musical journey from restoration to celebration. Thats why the song Wait is one of Tonys favorite on this project. Infused from Psalm 40, Tony realizes no matter how long hes wanted to record his own CD he understands that waiting on God is what he needed to do. Also Dont Worry is another favorite. Tony says, No matter what happened yesterday, today is a new beginning and a fresh start, so always focus on walking in your new season. He has learned that efforts and courage are not enough without purpose and direction.
Tonys main focus is for God to get all the glory out of this project and for the hearts, minds and souls of all who listen to be blessed. Get ready to receive your blessing from God as Tony Jackson ministers a well balanced mixture of contemporary, urban contemporary and traditional gospel.
