Biography

Polished, smooth and understated is the best way to describe singer/songwriter Tony “Tee” Tatum. Born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan, he knew at the tender age of 11, that he wanted to sing. From a boy to a young man he continued to bless everyone with his smooth sultry voice singing for his church choir.

His journey began, when he started performing for different groups and competing in various talent shows and community events.

In 2002, Tony Tatum day in and day out dedication of perfecting his craft, gave him all the courage needed to soar through two brutal auditions for the popular TV show American Idol, where he made it to California. The end results were disappointing, but there was no stopping him.

The doors of opportunity flew open allowing him a chance of a lifetime at fulfilling his dreams in singing and songwriting. He has written, co-wrote and collaborated on songs with musical talents Omarion, Frankie J, Usher, super producer Jazze Pha and many more.

Tony Tatum has decided to begin recording his first album independently, to be self-titled, “The Tee Tatum Experience”, coming soon.

Discography

Tony Tatum was invited to perform at the Detroit Pistons Championship Rally in 2004. He has toured and performed with some of R&B musical greats Keith Sweat, Howard Hewett, New Edition, The O’Jays, Frankie Beverly & Maze, Charlie Wilson and Ne-Yo. His most recent performance was at the Friday Night Motown Live in his hometown of Saginaw on August 15, 2012.
