Bio

'Thin Wild Mercury' is my debut album featuring ten original songs written and arranged entirely by me. The themes are pretty obvious on some levels but I'm not going to get into that here.

My music, if not my entire life, has been influenced by Bob Dylan. I'm still blown away by the simple beauty and crazy complexity of his songs. The truth is that I love all types of music from early folk and blues to reggae, punk and rock but Dylan tops the list.

When you listen to my music you may hear many influences but I just wrote the songs, took them to the studio and let the music guide me. Out of this adventure came my debut LP.

'Thin Wild Mercury' has already received attention from industry professionals...

'If You Let Your Sweetheart Go' reached the last 25 finalists in Ronnie Milsap's 'Country Cut' Contest run in conjunction with American Songwriter Magazine.

'The Last Waltz' received an Honorable Mention in the 2011/12 International Songwriting Competition Folk/Singer-songwriter category. There were 20,000+ entries and judges included Jeff Beck, Tori Amos, Robert Smith and Frank Black.

'Radio', track five on the album, received an Honorable Mention in 'Unsigned Only'. There were 7000+ entries and they've got some pretty 'big-name' judges too.

In addition to this, Ralph McLean, a highly respected music broadcaster on BBC Radio has featured my album on his nightly radio show, playing 'If You Let Your Sweetheart Go' and describing 'Thin Wild Mercury' as "Excellent...superb songwriting rooted in a great tradition.”

All I can say is that I write from the heart and I'm following my own path, wherever that may lead.

Enjoy the music. T.
