Discovering the Universe

Written By: Tony Wilson

Discovering the Universe

Key = D
Timing = 6/4
Tempo = 160bpm

Verse 1

Beyond the Horizon
Where the stars and the skies meet
I’m Slowly accenting
High above mountain tops

As I leave the earth’s atmosphere
I marvel at solar flares
I begin to accelerate
To galaxies far away.

Pre Chorus

This is strange without friction
This is orbital hitching
Centripetal forces are telling me everything

Chorus 1

Discovering the Universe
A Pioneering Astronaut
Discovering the Universe

Flying through the Scarlet skies
Through mysteries of space and time
Discovering the Universe

Verse 2

A distant collision
Of stars high on fission
Indescribable beauty
As clusters accumulate

A cosmic anomaly
Where light bends from gravity
In control and unstoppable
The power of nothingness

Pre Chorus

This is strange without friction
This is orbital hitching
Centripetal forces are telling me everything

Chorus 2

I spiral exponentially
At terminal velocity
Discovering the universe

Supernovas sparkling
And vanishing in front of me
Discovering the universe.

Bridge

Beyond the horizon
Where the stars and the skies meet
I descending to earth somewhat rapidly

And on my arrival
I’m surprised at what I see
The world has transformed so incredibly.

Chorus 1

Discovering the Universe
A Pioneering astronaut
Discovering the Universe

Flying through the Scarlet skies
Through mysteries of space and time
Discovering the Universe

Chorus 2

I spiral exponentially
At terminal velocity
Discovering the universe

Supernovas sparkling
And vanishing in front of me
Discovering the universe.

Verse 1

Dreams do come true
When your young and there’s nothing to loose
Ambitions thrive
A vision of a mission to fly
Awaken to the dreams your making
Open your mind and

Success by the bucket
Fly high bright eyes
And don’t end up slaving
Fly high bright eyes
And show me the money
Fly high bright eyes
And I’m green with envy

Verse 2

It’s no surprise
Time ticks and barriers arise
Means to an end
Take a job just to meet the ends
The back burner
Steams your dream away
Open your mind and

Chorus

Fly high bright eyes
Success by the bucket
Fly high bright eyes
And don’t end up slaving
Fly high bright eyes
And show me the money
Fly high bright eyes
And I’m green with envy
show me the money

Bridge

Motivation
Breeds captivation
Success is waiting
Just hold it tight and

Chorus

Fly high bright eyes
Success by the bucket
Fly high bright eyes
And don’t end up slaving
Fly high bright eyes
And show me the money
Fly high bright eyes
And I’m green with envy
show me the money
And I’m green with envy all the time

Full Moon Tide

Written By: Tony Wilson

Full Moon Tide

Key = G
Timing = 4/4
Tempo = 92

Verse 1

In the capital
Cold grey sharade
He matched the city
in their centres bustled promises of crude intentions

The corner where she stood
beared the scars of tired stilletos
neath the leather
lay a glimmer of her former treasure

Chorus

He looked her in the eye
And they exchanged tormented smiles
neath neon vacancy signs

Verse 2

She welcomed him inside
with the exception of his shoes
on which their soles contained
his dignity and pride

In her cotton womb
he was welcomed gently
as his weathered hands
went softly down her spine intently

Chorus

He looked her in the eye
And they exchanged tormented smiles
neath neon vacancy signs

Bridge

The thoughts keep rushing
The thoughts keep rushing
Like the Full moon tide

Shelter and Shade

Written By: Tony Wilson

Shelter and Shade

Key = Am
Timing = 4/4
Tempo = 76

Verse 1

The earth’s dry and
In my hand it crumbles
Throughout skies and seas there
Resonates an endless rumble

An the clouds roll in
Like the sky’s falling
And the drops begin to fade away

Chorus

You’re my shelter
You’re my shade
I need you like earth needs the rain

You’re my shinning sun
When flood waters have overcome you’re

You’re my lonely light
In oceans filled with salt and spite you’re

You’re my shelter
You’re my shade

Verse 2

The soft sand dis-
Olves to liquid mountains
Thought hills and cities
Flows an endless fountain

And the clouds retreat
Let the sun shine in
And the drops begin to fade away.

Chorus

You’re my shelter
You’re my shade
I need you like earth needs the rain

You’re my shinning sun
When flood waters have overcome you’re

You’re my lonely light
In oceans filled with salt and spite you’re

You’re my shelter
You’re my shade

Bridge

And when I see your silhouette
As the sun is setting overhead
Your fires your crying skies
As kiss to know I’m still alive
And I’m
Mystified at why
The waters dry
And I
Can’t describe the fire’s
That never die and

Chorus

You’re my shelter
You’re my shade
I need you like earth needs the rain

You’re my shinning sun
When flood waters have overcome you’re

You’re my lonely light
In oceans filled with salt and spite you’re

You’re my shelter
You’re my shade

Chorus

You’re my shelter
You’re my shade
I need you like earth needs the rain

You’re my shinning sun
When flood waters have overcome you’re

You’re my lonely light
In oceans filled with salt and spite you’re

You’re my shelter
You’re my shade

Scars of your own

Key = Gm
Timing = 6/8
Tempo =

Verse 1

Laid awake for a thousand hours
To decide to be a hero or coward
and if I should let it be and hope it melts to nothing

I Herd his voice a hundred times
and it echoed and boomed in my mind
and I cant believe you'd leave and risk it all for nothing

Pre chorus

You broke him, I'm broken and I'm sure you've got some scars of your own
you trapped me, and I'm angry, for years you compromised your home

Chorus

and in your path you leave a wake of broken hearts to heal
and in your path you leave a wake of broken hearts to heal
I'm sure you've got some scars of your own
I'm sure you've got some scars of your own

Verse 2

I told her I knew half a dozen times
and she lied with a thousand smiles
It pained my ears to hear she said "Your loosing your mind"

I searched my soul for a hundred nights
for the courage to end all the fights
but I never said a word I could have cost us everything

Bridge

You'll never imagine span of your wake
and the pain of its wave and the toll it takes
But The scars do fade, as the sun does shine
you'll be forgiven all in good time

Verse 3

Laid awake for a thousand hours
Herd his voice a hundred times
She smiled a thousand lies I searched my soul a hundred nights

Pre chorus

You broke him, I'm broken and I'm sure you've got some scars of your own
you trapped me, and I'm angry, for years you compromised your home

Chorus

and in your path you leave a wake of broken hearts to heal
and in your path you leave a wake of broken hearts to heal
and in your path you leave a wake of broken hearts to heal
and in your path you leave a wake of broken hearts to heal
I'm sure you've got some scars of your own
I'm sure you've got some scars of your own
