bagel shop owner, and design studio manager have in common? Many would
guess a bad punch line, but few would guess the music of TOOL.
Not many cover or tribute bands out there ever attempt to engage in the
raw talent, mysticism, and magic that is TOOL. But if you talk to four
brave souls from New York City (Keith Williams - guitar, Adam Volpe-
drums, Jose Andrade - vocals, , John Catrini - bass), their love and
passion for this music led them to form SCHISM (www.toolbandnyc.com).

"We started this back in 2001, after seeing a TOOL show at Madison
Square Garden. We simply loved the music and wanted to share it live
with other TOOL minded fans" says SCHISM frontman Jose Andrade and
bassist John Catrini. "This isn't something you tap your foot to, this
is more of an interactive experience for listener. These songs are
compositional masterpieces, which will be studied for years to come.

Playing to a packed house and well over the 2 hour mark, SCHISM's last
performance at the Knitting Factory (NYC) was met with a rousting swell
of audience cheer. Flawless renditions of "Sober", "Aenima",
"Stinkfist", "46&2", and "Lateralis" simply left the crowd mesmerized.
Performing all of Tool's hits with such conviction and purpose, SCHISM
drummer Adam Volpe shows off his musical talent by dynamically
reproducing the poly-rhythmic styles of legendary drumming genius Danny
Carey. A very talented musician indeed. "Rest assured at the end of
these sets, we have a whole new smattering of TOOL converts and fans"
says Volpe.

We are NYC's premiere TOOL tribute band, SCHISM; a national touring act since 2001.
