"Awkward Auditions"

Mike Awkward here. This month, I wanted to find the recipe for a truly amazing live band, and I think I may have done just that. Take two mean six-strings, a dash of bass, sprinkle the beats of a righteous jambe, then layer with vocals that reverberate down to your bones. These are the ingredients that make up a band that needs no audition. With high energy, attitude, and charisma, Too Much Unsaid has proven they don't need to say anything at all.. It's obvious that their music does the talking for them, and that's just fine with me. After witnessing the chemistry between these four at the London Music Awards last month, I was instantly drawn in by their intense stage presence and the way their singers command attention without batting an eyelash. Unlike all those other bands with “chick singers”, who are mainly there to provide distraction from their nerdy male counterparts, Jessie Jones of Too Much Unsaid, can belt it out just as loud as any front man, and does she ever. You can really feel the emotions coming from the entire band, and their instruments; they hold nothing back. And why would they, what have they got to lose? With this deadly combination, how could they go wrong? For more details on upcoming shows, or to get a taste of their sound, check them out at www.facebook.com/toomuchunsaid. With plenty of chances to catch these guys live this summer, make sure you leave nothing Unsaid.

Sounds a bit like: Ani DiFranco, Flogging Molly, Horrorpops, and Mad Sin

Did Too Much Unsaid make the cut? As if you need to ask... - Mike Awkward, Sub-Cultured Magazine

"The London Music Awards: and the winners are..."

"Too Much Unsaid wowed the crowd with their unique blues/rock sound. Fronted by energetic guitarist/vocalist Jessica Jones, the group includes the odd instrumental line up of two acoustic guitars, bass and a djembe/bongo player" - Scene Music Magazine, John Sharpe

"TMU provides an Unique Sound"

"In a world filled with brand-made music and straight from the package bands, London-based Too Much Unsaid offers a refreshing and welcomed change that leaves you wanting more.
Removing itself from the confines of a specific genre, TMU provides a unique sound that has been lacking from the music scene of late, bringing back the inspiring day of Joplin, Dylan and Morisson with a flare for today’s realities in their own words." - Timmins Daily Press-- Chelsey Romain, Reporter/Photographer

Bio

There is no question that Too Much Unsaid is a band we will see for years to come. The London based Folk Rock group has been impressing audiences for just over three years now as they create a sound that leaves you begging for more. Their work as songwriters and musicians has proven to be successful for them with their latest album release, “Here & Gone.” The narrative lyrics, energetic instrumentation and strong musicianship skills gives Too Much Unsaid and their album (Here & Gone) a first class seat in any CD collection.

The band is working non-stop towards a pursuit of excellence by claiming the stage with over 100 live performances last year, touring Canada’s West coast twice within two years and by constantly challenging themselves with new projects such as their upcoming “Live Recording Sessions,” a project that will involve their audience and favourite live venues. The anticipated release gathers much excitement as they take their fans further behind stage with the addition of their collective Live DVD.

TMU doesn’t stop there as they prepare for their third nomination as Best Folk/Roots group for the 2012 London Music Awards. They also have performed the London Music Awards two years in a row and had rave reviews from Bret Downe at Scene magazine.

This band has the ability to take you for a musical adventure with lead singer, Jessie Jones’ sweet and sultry blues vocals that make the hair on the back of your neck stand up, melodic spanish guitar licks played out by lead guitarist, Andy Chillman leave you feeling like you are in a Quentin Tarantino movie . The hard hitting percussion perfectly executed by Adam Goodlet will convince your feet to move ever so freely while the grovey yet solidified rhythm backbone echoes from Bassist, Pete Henderson.
If you want to hear a new refreshing sound, then picking up Too Much Unsaid’s album collection, starting with their 2009 release, “Live in Japan” and now their latest work, “Here & Gone (2010),” will be no mistake.

This musical group loves what they do and writes what they feel without being compromised lyrically by someone else's right and wrong. Staying in touch should become a priority. You can find the four musicians online through Facebook (www.facebook.com/toomuchunsaid), MySpace (www.myspace.com/toomuchunsaidlondon) and many other social media sites for all upcoming shows and updates.
