"backbeat review"

"backbeat review backbeat magazine Top Dead Center's "A Train Ride to Hell" has it all . . . shredding guitars, groovy grooves and breakdowns, pit starting rhythms, thundering bass, pounding drums, and extremely in your face yet discernible vocals. Top Dead Center is everything right with rock'n'roll and what rock'n'roll should be today."
- John Santos, Backbeat Magazine - backbeat magazine

"a trainride to hell cd review"

"A Train Ride to Hell cd review the Edge Magazine Review by Zach Marcotte Top Dead Center punches us in the face then buys us a beer with their disc titled "A Train Ride to Hell." This super group of S.A. music veterans are a powerhouse of rock'n'roll fused with bar rock, classic rock, and heavy metal. Rowdy and fun, Top Dead Center's vicious live show is captured on "A Train Ride to Hell" which sounds great (recorded at Looney Bin by Bobby Mercier), and is easy to listen to over and over again. From opening to closing, "A Train Ride to Hell" is an auditory ride of the best kind of rocking brutality. Each song can stand alone like the invincible gunslinger at every high noon showdown, but they all fit in together to make a great album . . . some songs weigh in a tad heavier, more menacing and destructive like, The Lunatics are Taking Over the Asylum, whereas others encourage the beer flow like, Born Again, but they all kick ass."
- Zach Marcotte, The Edge Magazine - the edge magazine

"TDC first review"

"Hailing from San Antonio, Top Dead Center is gearing up to release their heart pounding southern style heavy metal to the masses. This Southern style rock n roll band has been in the studio pumping out some new material guaranteed to make your head move from its’ brutal sound. Top Dead Center has a new vocal locomotive fronting the band, Mikey, which most of you will remember as former vocalist of Uriel, has taken front and center and is leading the band to what is to be a great asset to the San Antonio rock music community. But these boys just aren’t any ordinary band. With Chris on Bass, Johnny and Trey on guitars and Justin on Drums I warn you now girls, hang on to your panties cause a train is a coming, and its called Top Dead Center! Their unique mix of southern rock, vintage bar rock, and true heavy metal make these guys stand out in a scene of Hardcore, metalcore and grindcore bands that dominate the SA scene right now."
- Toni Torres, THE EDGE MAGAZINE - the edge magazine
